College, BSNL sign MoU

Coimbatore: The SNR Sons Charitable Trust has signed a service level agreement with the BSNL for 20 Mbps internet connectivity to benefit all its 14 institutions in various locations here.

While R.Venkatesalau, Managing Trustee, represented the trust, P.T.Mathew, Principal General Manager, represented the BSNL, Coimbatore.

According to a college release, so far internet connectivity to all the 14 institutions was established by using different type of internet service providers with different bandwidth.

Reorganisation

However, it is essential that institutions should be reorganised with modern techniques like common data centre\web server, video conferencing facilities, high speed internet connectivity, etc. To meet such requirements 20 Mbps internet connectivity will be established between SNR Sons Charitable Trust institutions and BSNL using Multi Protocol Label Switches Virtual Private Network which speeds up network traffic flow.

Besides, it makes it easier to manage.

Other features

Additional features of this arrangement are converged services (voice, video, data), any to any connectivity without high cost of individual circuits, and advanced facilities like load sharing, policy routing, multi router traffic grapher report, multiple VPN support, etc.
